When I was 15, I remember the teacher who taught me guitar (my parents bought me the lessons for Christmas when I was 13, no doubt desperately hoping I was the next Eric Clapton and therefore their pension - I was neither) one time told me: "you really need to practise your fingering". I blushed and giggled like the horny schoolboy I was. She didn't know why: totally oblivious, in fact, which was sweet. She was only 62. But I had to quit the lessons (broke my arm in a rugby match in '87 - hoorah!), but I listened to her innocent innuendo and listened hard. I've tried to apply her brilliant wisdom ever since. Mixed results. So I'm not convinced that this is comedy. More like a colourful confession. Maybe that's why I've always love David Lodge so much. How Far Can You Go!

Paul Mooney, like Bill Hicks, is one of those super rare comedians who is so amazingly good, they basically become comedian's comedians and the general public is largely unaware of them. Sounds ridiculous but it happens.
